I' e run my Safari in plenty of wet, driven, sticky snow with no problems. No issues with heavy rain either!:p

Always wanted a Donaldson, but never thought of the extra intake restriction:eek:
I think they look pretty cool though!:D

Anyone heard of any of the Airflow distributors having a Black Friday sale? Hoping to get one of these soon.

Sold off my ARB Snorkel so I had to remove the ram air head from my current setup. Replaced it with a 10" Donaldson. No significant loss in MPG or power that I can tell at this point. If I ever get concerned about air flow I'll just do the deckplate mod to the air box and close her up whenever I hit the dirt or water, no need to carry an extra head...

I have a Dewalt 105mm hole saw (for airflow, not sure what Safari uses) and mandrel with one use. I'll make someone a good deal on it.

If you reverse the air ram style head you will create a vacuum instead of a ram. Your engine will run rich and may cause damage. Not totally sure, this is from the co. I have never reversed mine personally to try it and dont intend to either, but in a heavy snow storm I turn it 90' so it's pointing sideways. (looks terrible, bought a Donaldson and carry it around now)

I have read of many people reversing theirs and claiming no problems, but I'm not going to risk it at highway speeds.
    Cheers!

Haha. Eric who owns Relentless Fabrication. We were messing around one mod day and I showed him the POS bracket and he drew a new one up, threw it on the CNC, and then applied some pressure with the tube bender and viola. I PM'd him to see if he wants to make some.

I lol'd at this. Most people who install the safari see an mpg GAIN, where as lots of restriction would mean an mpg loss....
