    Hello folks,

Which one of these are ideal for 70/30 highway/city driving? Attached are the pictures for visual comparison. From Left to Right is Duratrac, Adventure, then A/T3. Thanks.

Out of those 3, I'd probably go with the Cooper. I'd als look at the Toyo Open Country and Hankook Dynapro.

A highway tire would probably be better suited than any of those, as they are all terrains.

Love my Duratracs but if you're not planning on getting them muddy at all you may want to look for more of a road tire. Duratracs do make good snow tires though.

Definitely would be better than the Duratrac. Although, I'm one of those guys that's 100% street basically, but still run an AT tire (peace of mind, mostly, and looks) to deal with snow and camping. I just get P-rated AT tires to keep the weight down, and I haven't lost any MPG over a highway tire, and noise is hardly any different. I'm a big believer in using P-rated AT tires on a street truck.

Coopers are no longer an American tire. Also, the ones I have seem to last more than 30k miles. Just an observation. I would 2nd the Hankook Dynapro ATM. Or consider Michelin LTX AT2.

The same shit everyone else has.
My truck had the Coopers on it when I bought it. I like em. They are pretty quite on the highway, they can handle the snow (which I found out today), and have been great for the little bit of mud the truck does see on hunting/camping/fishing trips on logging and gamelands roads

Love mt AT3s. Good on the highway, just a tiny bit of drift around 65, but messing around with the pressure has helped. Pretty quiet, too. For what it's worth, all of the offroading I have done has been with my Jeep buddies. Really waterlogged, sandy mud. My AT3s with my A-TRAC on hung with the locked rubicons with whatever MTs they come with, and I even made it through a couple of spots where more than one got stuck. No experience with snow or rocks though.

Are those the new Adventure with Kevlar? I wonder how tough those are. I would get the AT3 for mostly hw/city driving, but still looks good.

When did they no go overseas ? Cause last time I checked the cooper tire plant and headquarters is about a mile away from me, and the last time I was in there they were still making American made tires.... I say go with AT3s I have them on my truck and they are great they move water like no other tire I've had.. Grip is good wet and dry, not been in snow with them yet... But thinking they should do fine...

Just put my second set of Cooper AT/3's on my truck. Never had a problem with any terrain or weather condition. I went with 235/85/16 this time. Good narrow tire for the snow. Good luck with your choice.

The BFG all terrains have always been great tires. The ones I had on my truck have gone through 3 owners. The first did 40k I did 30k and idk what the new guy has on them but they were still at 30-40% when I sold them.

I've had very good luck with coopers Zeon LTZ on my F-150. They tow well and virtually no noise at hwy speed. They do very well for an all terrain tire except hydroplaning. That is my only complaint with them and even that would not scare me away from purchasing another set. I am also considering the AT3's as a replacement because I've heard nothing but good things about them. Only a slight hum at 45+mph. I would imagine that the AT3 will dissipate water better and reduce hydroplaning. Charleston gets A LOT of rain every year!

I had a set of goodyear silent armors and it was a darn good tire as well. I didn't put many miles on them but while I had them they were nice. They did ok in the snow but I would rate my coopers better in that category. One complaint I had was plugging one of these tires. Holy crap was it a pain!

For what you plan on doing I would go with the cooper or the middle tire. The duratracs look amazing and I would love to have them but the conditions I drive in do not warrant such an aggressive tire. Plus they are pretty expensive.

If you plan to do little to no off road use, then I would say get a set of Michelin M/S2. Nothing but great responses from owners and return good fuel efficiency. Many of those owners have a really hard time wearing these tires out! You will have to invest in these tire to see a return though...

For the price and quality of the selected tires, I vote coopers.
