Posted this in the front differential vib section, but thought I might get more feedback here. Need help diagnosing this noise. Sounds like rocks clanging around under there.... Really noticeable starting around 35 secs and again around 1:15 secs. My diff bearing is getting replaced with the ECGS bushing next week because it's really sloppy when I get grab it and move it, but this doesn't sound like the diff noise that others describe and this noise is still there in 4WD.

08 DC TRD Off Road with new 5100's (replaced the six-year old OME nitros) with only about 32,000 miles.

    Thanks for the help.

Have you looked at your LCA bushings and bolts?

    BTW, what tires are those?

I'll check the bushings and bolts again, but everything looked pretty tight last time I was under there. I've had two separate shops look at it (one a dealer) and so far no luck solving it. Thanks.

Tires are Michelin LTX, A/T's. Just replaced BFG ALL-Terrains. Verdict is still out on the LTX. :)

My '08 has 31,000 miles and sounds the same. It got worse over the last month though and now sounds even louder when I turn the wheel. I'm fairly sure my problem is the tie rods ends, you might want to check yours.

Hmmm. Sounds promising. Just looked at a couple of YouTube videos and it does sound like perhaps the inner tie rod.

Mine also is worse when turning (that's when I first started hearing it) ... but only when turning right.

    Thanks for the tip.
