    Nahh...

I used to do the stainless braided hose on my Camaro, but for the most part now, just a good cleaning every year or so, couple of Mobil-1 stickers on the airbox.

Mine looks like I drive around without a hood... I want to spray it down and maybe wipe the covers down.

I think the motor area gets overlooked more than it should... I like to try to keep mine clean, i just let it go alittle longer than i should have this last time

I really want to do this but I had I bad experience with my 2000 silverado. I had to replace the two knock sensors because I got water in there.

Each time I wash the exterior, I wipe down the engine compartment. When I wax, I apply 303 to all the plastic and rubber after the wipe down. The engine compartment looks new after many years. Brings a better price when selling and the truck is happy. :)

I clean under the hood. I also do the wheel wells, door frames/jams (tailgate and hood included), inside the fuel door and use matt black paint on the exposed areas that can be reached with ease on the underbody.

As far as the changing or adding a loom it's not for me.

I just keep the plastics and sheet metal areas clean. I use meguirs extreme shine on the plastic surfaces, which helps make wiping everything off after a car wash easy. Maybe once or twice a summer, I'll use light soap and water to remove any grease or heavy dirt deposits, then just wipe it off to dry. If you keep it clean, then later get the bug to sell it and get something else, a clean engine bay indicates that the truck was well maintained and cared for.

Not sure how to get it cleaned after a muddy offroad adventure..

Always keep a clean engine bay. Shows I care for my car and hopefully my mechanic feels the same way.
The blue loom is OK, but you have to do the engine cover to complete the look.

Mine has a unique mud splatter pattern on most of it. It is a one off custom. I think the blue loom is a little loud for my taste but it's not my truck.

no. i dont spend much time and money on aesthetics.

i might wipe things down for dust management. and pick out leaves. that is it. i dont use tire "dressing" either.

I've always tried to keep my engine bay as clean as I can, as new as possible. A clean engine is a happy engine. When I was a teenager, eh.. not so much. I remember once me and my dad were doing something under the hood, and he grabbed a big chunk of dried algae/moss that was hanging off my upper radiator and asked me, "Boy, what have you been doing with this thing." lol
