2014 JBL Entune Nav in a 2010 JBL DC Taco???

Hey all - I've seen a lot of hybrid threads out there, but nothing specific to installing a newer '14 JBL Nav HU to a '10 JBL system...Anyone done it before? Is there any thoughts on how straight forward it is?

man i would love to do that to my '10. how much do they run non jbl/entune. anyone know? oh wait I bet jerez knows hu.

 

After they look at you like you're crazy; the dealership will quote around 3K dollars. But they don't typcally sell them aftermarket. I found a 2013 headunit w/ nav for $300 from a user on here. The harness are not plug and play and it requires a some work to convert it; but it can be done.

 

correction, i did a non jbl install...
hes asking for a jbl...mine was literally plug and play because i have no bluetooth nor steering wheel controls.

theyre pricy...theres a guy selling some on here

Yea I went to the dealer and they saw I had the unit and asked if I had paid around that amount for it...said nope

 

My bad. Did you paint your surround or is that how the come on the 14's? It looks bad ass!

 

Thanks all for the info! Got a head unit from Nat2012, and slowly piecing the info together from a few other members...soon as I get the install together, I'll be sure to do a write up! Fingers crossed - props to all the other fellas who got it working!!!

 

The radio face itself or the actual surround with the air vents?
The face comes black and my surround is my stock one painted black
