Went camping a few weekends ago and ran over a tree stump/log a little funny. Ever since my exhaust tip has been touching my rear shackle and rattles when the truck comes to a stop. I can't figure out if the exhaust, the exhaust hangar or the truck's hangar actually got bent. I know I could probably take a BFH and hit any one of those things to make it work, but I'd rather fix the one that actually is messed up.

I've attached a couple pictures. Any help would be really appreciated.

Looks like it bend the hanger that is welded to the exhaust where it is a single piece of rod before it splits off to two pieces.

Pull it out of the hanger, heat it with a torch and bent it back. Beating on that will not be all that easy since the whole system is suspended and isolated in rubber mounts.

If you do not have oxy/ace torch set you can get by with a mapp gas torch. It will cherry a 1/2" rod after 5-10 minutes.

Or if you plan on offroading is suggest cut it little bit after the axle and make it to a turn down

Thanks. I'll go buy a torch and see if I can bend that part of the hanger a little.

Might be easier to stop at muffler shop and pay them 20 bucks to do it for you.

Cut it off just after the rear axle.
