They didn't adjust the alignment from the control arm. They prolly didn't even know about since our trucks don't come factory with a UCA camber adjustment.

The Camber King from the Stevens Toyota Meet?!

You still have too much Pos Camber? You replaced your LCA adjusters right? If so sounds like incompetent alignment tech. I had to actually go out in the shop and show my tech how they moved, he didn't believe me but I took his wrench and loosened them to show him. Yes I had given the tech the PDF.

No clue. I don't know too much about alignment.

haha. yeah thats me. And I actually bought new LCA's as well. New bolts and all.
This is the LCA I bought... if it matters. Everything went well on the install.. just still a slight pinch kicked out.

They can adjust camber via the top bolt / slide arrangement on the LR UCA 's , I had to use this route to get my camber where I wanted it due to my alignment cams being seized

In other words , if they can only get caster where you want it with the LCA's for some reason , they can adjust camber on the UCA

So ya think will have to adjust the hex nut looking thing that is under the bolt for the ball joint too? Thats what I think the problem is.

I think its called the lock plate? The main BIG bolt on the UCA. There is an adjustment thing under that bolt to adjust the camber.
I could do it in my driveway but i'd hate to mess it up and have to drive it. My mechanical ability is great, but my knowledge of suspension and alignment is not so great.

No , to adjust camber you loosen the top nut and slide the whole assembly towards or away from the wheel

Sonofabitch!! They installed the god damn ball joints backwards!! The essentrics were forced as far as they would go to get it to alignment as close it would get. Unreal. Can't wait until tomorrow when I go to the shop that originally did it. All the tabs on the adjustments are bent off as well. We tack welded a small spot to keep them from slipping out of adjustment and if they somehow need to be adjusted down the line it's a simple grind to remove the tack.

Thanks for your help and info Oz.

This is the readout now after tonight.

Is there anything "special" about the ball joints in a LR/SPC UCA? In other words, do I have to go back to LR/SPC for my next ball joint if/when the one pre-installed in their UCA fails?

    1. I'm installing LR UCA's this Saturday-- In the factory video, they say to jack up under the lower control arm so that the suspension is loaded. Is this necessary?
I ask because I'm also installing coilovers-- I thought that I would jack up the frame, pull the UCA, pull the stock suspension, then install the coilover, then install the UCA.

    2. I'm putting a plate bumper on too--would it make it easier to extract the long UCA bolt if I have the stock bumper pulled off?

    1. I did my whole front end at the same time. You're going to want some support under it or it'll fall pretty far and possibly damage the ABS wires. I didn't load the suspension but supported it with another jack to keep it from falling too far.

    2. No, the bumper isn't the problem, it's the wheel well.

There are "How to's" stickied in the suspension portion of this website. I used bjmoose's full OME install "how to" for the suspension and someone did one on installing total chaos UCAs. The process for getting the long bolts out is the same so brand of UCAs doesn't really matter.
