Haha, you know sales guys make a living at complimenting your choices right?

FWIW, I got my wheels and tires mounted up yesterday at America's Tire. All the tech's said they really liked the black on black with the white letters out look, even though they thought it would look stupid before they did it, haha.

I think it depends on the wheel color, truck color, and the results you are going for. Maybe it's my age showing but I don't mind the "old school look" and I'm even considering adding some 'late '70's, early '80's graphics, maybe some red, orange, yellow stripes (kinda like TC's chopper from "Magnum P.I.") accross the front fenders and doors.

Not really, it's not like you're trying to decide between a 5-year ARM or a 30-year fixed APR home mortgage.

It's a tire, pick a side and put it on the truck.

What does the thread starting in 2011 have to do with that? 2 years and 18 pages later, prove people, maybe not you, like discussing it and giving their opinions.

^ Once again lol, it's the color or lettering of a tire. We're not trying to figure out a slide rule here. Who cares what everyone else's opinion is, pick what you like and roll with it. No pun intended.

In for me only because I'm going with the all black look. Sometimes I like the look of white out but really depends on the vehicle, and wheels.

I learned the hard way, NEVER AGAIN will i have white letters out. Don't get me wrong, i love the looks of it...BUT my Tacoma was my first real vehicle (had a crappy car before it but that is insignificant) so i learned to park and drive (properly) in my truck. In learning to parallel park, one OFTEN rashes the sidewalls....hence the RUINED white letters. Torn rubber letters on a $600+ set of tires is enough to make a an sick when he washes his vehicle on the weekends. Please no more white letters out. Even though i park 2" off the curb now, if someone else drove it, i'd be afraid they wouldn't take care to save those pretty white letters. Sigh...black sidewalls for life...

Looks damn good when the tires are unmolested though...

White In. If you ever offroad you will Know that white letters out get messed up quick on rocks. They are hard to keep clean too. If your ride is a mall crawler then white is fine, but if you have nice white letters on a tire that is at half tread it just proves your truck don't see the dirt.

I disagree. Dirt and sand wont mess up white letters, but that's still off roading. Yes I agree that rubbing the letters on rocks will destroy them, but not everybody rock crawls. You can call me a poser if you want to tho. My letter are white under that red dirt ;)

And they still look great after they got washed.
