To start, my truck is a 2006 beater. It has multiple large dents, and even dents that will make you scratch your head.

For practical purposes, I would like better front lighting for driving. Enter replacement HID projector housings. The only problem is.....if I put angel eyes, or have the perty little LED's in the bottom, it looks like I"m trying to polish a turd which is even sadder than just owning a beat up truck.

I've seen the cheapo housings on ebay which have minimal bling, but I understand those housings are complete crap.

Bolt on projector fog lights: nope....I need a driving beam....not a fog beam.

I'm thinking I might have to go the retrofit route which involves separating the housing, and....cutting a hole in the reflector to fit an aftermarket projector? Anyone know what projector would work here?

If someone could enlighten me, I would appreciate it. Not excited about heating up my housings, but I do have an extra pair. Yes I searched but just can't seem to narrow down what I'm looking for.

The ds2 minis are sorta plug n play. No cutting required. The retrofit source has more info but I recall these not needing and cutting of the housing.

Gotcha...Check out alibaba.com, search projector kit, hid, you know the drill.
You can request a "sample" piece for "testing" and get the same for much cheaper. More options as well.

My sig has all your answers :p

Driving home tonight through some back roads I just smirked every time I could flip it to the high beams :D

If you go FXR compared to mini you are going to get much more light, opportunity to run 50w ballasts and a way better high beam.

    I have both
