I think you all misunderstood him. He's talking about using stock rims with bigger tires. Lookat his pics. I saw a few Tacos with stock rims and they look just fine. In fact, us guys in Hawaii should start doing that so we don't Catch too much crap from the recon station! Aloha!:D

Well why wouldn't you use the stock rims and get bigger tires?

All those stupid big wheels looks stupid on trucks anyway. Those are for gangster blinging rides not trucks.

Plus the tires are cheaper for the 16" wheels. When you get up to those lame 20" wheels the tires go up a stupid amount of money.

For one you can't run a 6" DB lift with stock 16s without some hella spacers. I think the stock 17s with 33s/35s looks sick IMO.

I'd say stock wheels look better than them big wheels, like the 90s all over again with them Mexican style rims!!

I completely agree. I heard of it being done and at first I thought it wouldn't look good until I saw it first hand, They're bad ass. The one that I saw had been powder coated (he said it cost $300 to strip down and coat) and it looked like aftermarket rims.

I run the 4" zone and its a damn good kit. If you compare it with the bds it is basically the same kit. Both companies are owned by Sport truck usa.

I think it's all relative to how the rest of your truck looks and what you like. I will be doing a Mid-Travel 3" at some point. I will keep stock rims. Once front and rear bumpers are on (which will be black) I will de-badge or derp the badges. Depending on how everything looks I may derp the wheels. I personally like the look of the stock wheels and once all chrome is derped and bumpers are armor & black I figure my wheels will look better black. Just don't put 18"+ wheels. Some guys do and some wheel with them, but around my area only things with 18"+ are bro dozers that only conquer Kmart & Walmart parking lots. Just go with what you like. At the end of the day your the one that has to pay for it and drive it everyday. You like it then you're golden.
