I'm asking because I'd like to purchase one. I have to buy an OEM roof rack to mount it on first.

What I'm wondering is how high the basket mounted on the factory roof rack makes the truck overall? I'm worried that it won't fit in my garage... My garage opening is 6' 8.5" high.

If someone could get a measurement for me, that would be great!

I'm thinking of getting the extension as well. The description of the roof basket states that the cross bars on the vehicle should be no more than 15" apart. Looking at pics of the OEM roof rack, it appears that the cross bars are further apart than that. If so, has this been an issue?

Actually, if somebody could just tell me how high the OEM roof rack sticks up of the roof that would help. I know that the basket is 4" high.

    Thank you!

I just read an S-ton of reviews on Amazon. Looks like a good deal if you replace a couple of connectors and derp the thing to keep from water getting inside.
