Sad to say the only way you can compete with a 150 is to buy one.

Please...if Toyota had a fraction of the fleet sales that the domestics have they wouldn't have any resale value. everybody knows thats the only reason Toyota has good resale value estimates.

Welp, I bought a $53k truck for 37.5k and it hasn't let me down yet, plus it gets 22 mpg on the highway and a 37 gallon fuel tank.. but it can't go where the taco goes.

huh? Toyota has good resale value because of their lower fleet usage? I fail to make the connection there...

Fleet sales is what drives down the resale value estimates.

The more important statement is While our resale value is supposedly higher, we are still getting killed in sales compared to everyone else. That should really tell you something.

Going from an '06 yota that I sold because the frame was rusted and cracked to a new f150... Going to be hard to beat the '150. The build is far superior. Granted you guys are dueling with ascetic items.

Plus I get better mpg with a 4x4 v8

Meh, I've been arguing the whole time. Every vehicle has goods and bads, maintenance is always important for the longevity of any vehicle.. not the manufacturer.

Yep. That's why so many switch and why they sell more than any other vehicle on the planet. Still people are actually clueless enough to argue about it.

Getting 30 mpg on the highway

    Please. And get over it.

Comparing a ford to a toyota is just stupid. we all know our tacomas are the best. But seriously, to each their own.
