That stack would be terrible and require a really long extended travel shock wth stupid long collapse lengh (leaf pack stack + 3" block = no good). Bad advise dude.

You need about 4" in the back to level the truck with a 6" front lift.
You want 6" in the back, get this from the arch of a custom pack (Alcan, Deaver, National....) or don't do it at all.

ok,if you got a link for a leaf pack with 4" lift post it up, that would help out bigtime. And i agree def better than running blocks. What type if shock setup would he then need for this?

Aside from having a custom pack made by the comps I mentioned already theres a comp originally out of BC that puts out a very promising 6 leaf 4" lift leaf pack. When I can remember the name I'll drop it in.

As far as shocks go the Extended bilstien 5100 would work great, you just may have to modify the bumps to ensure you are not collapseing the shocks first. Aside from this any big shock company can built them to the length needed.

That doesn't really solve anything. Drop bracket + 4" lift block in the back = retarded. At least with a 2wd trucks it is. 4x4 don't really have much option other then DB lifts to get to 6".

retarded, wouldn't go that far. Opinions are like assholes everybody's got one. So if he wants a six inch mall crawler lift like he said in the first post then let him get it. Just cause it isn't "perfect" in your eyes don't make it wrong buddy :)

@ rmurphy1897, heres some pics i took today 4" spindles and allpro standard leafs, tires are kinda small lookin, there 275/65 17's but im about to get 33's anyway... my center of wheel hub to bottom of fender measurements are 24 1/2" on front and 25'' on the back.WP_20140109_003_zps85801680_70902eece1be2e7f3b8273e4a397fa21a4b3534e.jpgWP_20140109_006_zps18ce814d_2337756d41db6f6c9ede588f05cbc10c7e5f01b3.jpg

also added wheel spacers in back because the spindles push your front track width out so i wanted equal front to back width. also got a couple questions. are you dead set on a 6" lift , cause if you went with this setup it would save you lots of money and you can run 33's or even 35's from what i hear. also what is your max price you wanna spend ?

I figure I could get a decent lift trying to keep it under 3 grand. And yeah I wanna go with the 6" lift and probably a 33 or 34. I like the look of it.

Just my ponion if i were to do a 6 i would go with the toy tech . if you go with the drop bracket stye like the pro comp after labor your gonna far exceed 3g's, theres cuting and welding involved too were as the toytech doesnt, and performance wise is gonna be really close, just my .02 :)

My brother and I will be installing everything so labor isn't an issue. Only labor I'll be paying is the alignment and to have my tires and wheels mounted balanced, blah blah blah..

I stand by my retarded statement 100%, but yes its my opinion as with most responses provided on here. If you have a 2wd truck and you spend the money to have your truck F'ed up doing a DB lift, you're a dumbass in my opinion. 4x4s don't have the option to use spindles so to get above 4" they do the DB, thats more understandable.

I'd recommend doing 4" lift spindles and settling with the bilstiens adjustables at 0.85" to get around 5".

And I'm too darn old to be your buddy ;)

^ agrees with getting 5100's set @ .85 or you can set them at 0 and just add a pair of ome 883 coils for an extra 1.5 lift. Rear just do the allpro leaf pack and if you have to run a small 1.5 or 2" block in conjunction with it you can still run the extended 5100's in the rear and be ok.

Good choice on the Maxtrac Spindles (best investment I ever made). Good luck on your lift project!. Just in case you're interested to see what it will look like, here's mine. It was a YOTAMATT-Inspired 6" Lift project..I think I went over just a tad..

    FRONT- Maxtrac Spindles (4") + 5100 Billies set at 1.75 (2.4") + Eibach Coil Springs (1.6")
    REAR- 5100 Extended Billies (for 3-4" lift) + Toytec 3-Leaf Progressive AAL (2") + 2" Blocks
285/70/17 (33") Tires + 1.5" wheel spacers on the rear

I agree. I had to lower my billys from the top notch because it was way to stiff.

and who ever said you need wheel spacers doesnt know every option like back spacing and ect for wheels. i have 4.5 backspacing and it looks like i have spacers but with out the damage a spacer might cause.

Think I could get links to where you got everything? I know where I'm getting the spindles, but I have no idea where to look for shocks, coils and blocks lol.
