So I switched from iphone to galaxy s4 and now want a hu that will be compatible with it. Do any of you guys have one that yall like? I'd just like one that shows the name of the song and the album artwork and things like that. Bluetooth preferred but I'm not against a cord

I just put in the pioneer 8500BHS because it does Android with GPS.

I really do not like it because if I am using the NAV program, I can only listen to music provided by my phone. Not a big deal, but I do not like it. Also sucks having to attach it to a cord (will not work via BT).

I looked over a bunch of different HU's and this was the only one that worked with Android and SiriusXM. I like the unit, but Appradio is like using a smartphone from 2007.

Completely stock for now... looking for a good smooth lift kit
There is other "unknow" brand called Parrot, I have read nice reviews... The bad things (I guess are the most important) are:
-Too slow to boot up (from 35 secs to 1 min, depends on apps)
    - Just a few apps to download from playstore
    - The worst for me: You have to wait to boot up to get the reverse camera on!!!

    That's why I bought a "traditional" nav system (Avic-850bt).

My Kenwood streams everything from my galaxy note 3. Pandora, playlists, iheartradio, literally everything on my phone can be streamed.

You mean via BT? I think all those things can be streamed from any radio with BT :?

I have a Sony XAV-601BT and really like it. When streaming bluetooth, I can see the names of the songs, artists, and albums. If I connect and play via USB, I can even see album art. If you look into this HU, you can pretty much disregard all the marketing mumbo jumbo about the MirrorLink feature. No one can really ever get it to work even with phones that support it (like the Galaxy). Besides that, its a great unit. One of my favorite features is the gesture controls. So if you want to skip to the next song, you swipe your finger across the screen from left to right. Or if you want to give a song on Pandora a thumbs up, you can swipe up. There are also on-screen buttons for these actions, but by using gestures you don't have to look away from the road. Also check out its big brother, the XAV-701BT.

EDIT: apparently they've come out with newer models. So look at the 602BT and 701HD instead.
