Hey guys. haven't been on here much lately but I am looking at possibly buying a 2012+ camry SE to get back in the toyota family again (until I can afford a taco in a few more years). Does anyone on here have one? What do like/dislike about it?

    Thanks!

If Subaru offers a vehicle in the same class, I'd typically go for that instead - AWD and better handling.

I have a 13 Camry se 4cyl. Love it... Well my wife mostly drives it but I get to on the long trips. No problems going though the mountains when we go down south. We used to have a 09 civic sedan but it got totaled so we used the settlement to get the Camry. No complaints really, got just over 16k miles on it.

I have also looked at the impreza (base model) AWD would definitely be nice especially when I moved back up to OH.
thanks for the review! does it feel like it has decent power behind it as far as accelerating/ merging on to highways?

i have a 10 and assuming toyota improved it. it should be fine. the SE comes with a sequential that i used to downshift for traffic and lane change although its not really needed. that 4banger pulls

yeah they said they made some changes to the newer models. Thank you for the input.

at this point it is really going to depend on the test drive of the camry and the impreza and then which one is going to give me the best price. I hate car buying.

I have a 2012 Camry XLE red, bought it from dealership on May 2012. Great fuel economy and luxurious interior, with navigation. Almost two years with it and 0 issues.

I will check that LE out. didn't realize the seats were different. My buddy had an avalon and that thing was amazing. I am having trouble finding one in the 20k and under price range without a ton of miles.

    your not going to.

i like the seats in the SE because they are POWAAAA vs manual :p

also the LE suspension is too soft imo but then again i do like to take corners a little quick

Buy the XLE the sports seats suck! They have fake leather on them and they just don't feel durable.

Its not that I don't like the SE version it's just I know someone who owns one and I have rode in it a few times and the seat material feels uber cheap and I swear you could split it just by looking at it.

You mean the Legacy, right? Impreza is more Corolla-sized:

That is one thing I do like about the SE is the power seats and I agree... I do like being able to take the corners quick as well. going from the 2010 mazda 3 i had to the 03 civic i have now, i miss the suspension.
I haven't gotten to look at one in person but looking on the computer I wasn't overly thrilled with the seats in the SE. I will see if I can find an XLE to compare to.
Im not too familiar with the subaru line but yeah I was looking at the impreza. Now that I know the legacy is a little bigger I am going to check in to that one instead. I am looking for something with adequate room inside. I remember always hating how small my mazda 3 was for both cargo room and leg room.

thank you all for the reviews/suggestions!
