Just wondering what you guys think and maybe a heads up as to what I should be looking out for. Unfortunately the truck is at a Car max dealership so I will have to deal w that since I haven't been able to find a TRD Tacoma anywhere else. Thanks

The price is average, nothing to get hyped over. From my prior experience with car max, and from what they claim in advertising they dont haggle on price at all.

Price looks average for the mileage and available options. Make sure to take a good look at the frame underneath and suspension components. Keep an eye out for rust and signs that the truck has been beaten up off road or not maintained. Hopefully being a 2wd its seen more hwy miles. Other little things to look for:
    1. Turn on AC/heat blower and listen for the infamous chirping sound.
    2. Drive it hwy speeds to check for alignment or suspension issues.
    3. Give the brakes a good check and feel for any shuddering or possible warped rotors.

    Just a couple ideas.

Looks really clean and well taken care of in the pic but its hard to tell. Get a car fax's and if its free of accident's and you cant see any evidence of abuse I say go for it. Your going to get a lot of opinions so at the end follow your gut! Just my .02 cents..

Check the frame for rust search the forums for pictures of what to look for.
Count the rear leaf springs, if you count 4 its a plus.
As i am now finding out the stock radio/cd player craps out after some time, so a carfax might show if a dealer replaced it.
Look at the front coils/shocks and rear u bolts for any signs that they have been fondled, -possibly a lifted at some point.

Take a drive and try to reach different speeds to see how the engine runs and how the trans shifts. Also feel for any driveline vibes and check the frame for rust.

Pop it in and out of 4x4, and try 4lo.

Can be huge repair bills if the actuator dies.
