Stock dealer alarm is too sensitive

Just curious if I'm the only one with this problem, at work I always get people coming in telling me my alarm is going on, I Park by a busy street so it seems anytime a car with a modify exhaust or a motorcycle goes by it sets off my alarm (just momentarily)....

Is there any way to have it tone down? Like the sensitivity of the alarm.... Maybe this is karma for me since before I had my tacoma I had a camaro with straight pipes lol

 

Look for a black box that's usually below the steering column. Should have a sensitive +/- adjustment.

i looked around, there's nothing i could find under the steering wheel unless im missing it completely

 

Should be located around the gas and brake pedal unless they installed it some other location. Look for a similar black box with +/- adjustment.

 

Hi I recently just found this and adjusted it to 2 notches above min. Now everytime I start the truck the horn honks 2x. If I adjust it back to the middle it stops. Any idea why it's doing that?
