We found that small mounting plates like the ones ATO used are not sufficient to hold a lot of weight without distorting the plastic atop the bedsides.

You can still use the rail system with our bed rack since we have numerous holes along the mounting plates to attach to, the cleats won't work though.

So then why not make a large notch in the angled iron so the cleats can be used but the part over the plastic on the bedside be untouched?

Is there any chance of making a model the is even with the cab? It would be perfect for the kayaks and everything else people carry around. Also I Love the idea of throwing some canvas over it and sleeping out in it. I would order one in a second if you could do that. Might even make the drive out there from NH to pick it up and camp in it on the way back!

Yes, we can make it even with the roof by extending the mounting tubes. We just can't make it any shorter and keep the same look because of the bends we incorporate to add style so it doesn't look like a lumber rack!

It's a loooong drive from NH to here but you're more than welcome to come by. However, we designed these to be modular so that we can ship them via UPS.

HAHA yea it would be a long drive. Any idea on how much it would cost if you made it taller and shipping to 03833? Thanks!

Future product suggestion, how about making a lockable hard tonneau cover with a rack on it like this?

A rack like this on a tonneau cover would not allow it to raise at all.

And that would be why I'm not in product design.

I have the AP aluminum bed rack on its way along with 1 accessory bar for the rotopax. I understand I need the dlx mounts for the 2g tanks, but how do they mount to the bar? I am not very clear on this and there are no real pics on your website.

    Thanks
