fast5speed, LSC90D is the service campaign number for the frame recall program. It looks like you are covered for the 15 year frame warranty. You may only have one more inspection left as it may expire this year (many models were built and stamped in the fall/winter of the previous year, ie your 2000 may have been built in Sept. 1999 and will thus expire Sept of this year, check the door jam sticker), so make it count.

Give your local dealer a call, explain your situation and take it in for a frame inspection.

damn that would suck! The door jamb sticker says 12/99! I assumed, it being a 2000, I was covered until 12/31/2015!

I don't expect anything so I am going to take care of it myself. My local dealership is going to take photos and send it up but then again, not hopeful. I am hopeful though that mine can be fixed. I just spoke to a friend this morning who works at a auto repair shop and before I even told him where it rusted through, he guessed it. He says they see that a lot above the right leaf spring hanger on the frame for some reason and have fixed a few. I will give Mother Toyota time to respond on the photos but am not wasting valuable time while the rest of the frame potentially corrodes away. From there I am getting some type of corrosion protection. I bet I can find one better than Toyota's especially since I hear of those flaking off. Yeah, I would have rather chosen theirs under the LSC campaign but if I am paying for it, I am shopping around.

Pretty much stock with some crap welded to it.
So they will still replace the frame if needed? Or is the warranty thing over

My understanding is that IF you took your truck in during the LSC and had it rust proofed, your warranty on the frame is extended 15 years beyond manufacturer's date. If your frame rust through in that time (2017 for you if you have a 2002) , you get a new frame.

You can also call "Mother" Toyota, give VIN and they will tell you if the LSC 90- D was fulfilled in your case. I hope it was for your sake. 1800-331-4331 Hit # 3 on prompt. Update the owner's record (you) with the VIN so you will get all recalls, LSC's etc. Don't expect them to find you.

Does not matter if it has been "checked", the warranty is good for 15 yrs! Much can happen in just a couple of years. Call corporate and see what your rights are. They were very helpful to me.

hiwasseetaceo, is this what Toyota "Care" told you ? Can you direct me to some literature that addresses this. I hope you are right, but I am mostly hearing the opposite>
