I recently removed my fender flares. After taking them off I noticed that every tab on the front was Broken. Both front flares were held on by adhesive tape. Once I removed the rear there was the same result but instead of tape it was silicone caulking. As a result of all my tabs being broken and not being able to put them back on, I went to Home Depot and bought some screw covers, screws, and wing nuts. This is gonna have to do till I get new tabs.

That's what I was thinking, I bought my truck from a little old lady that claimed she was 1st owner. On the other hand would the dealership do this?

I wouldn't be surprised if the dealership had done it, from my experiences anyway. All depends on how shady their service department is.

From the day I got it I noticed that the fender flares seemed loose but I never questioned it until recently. I was blown away by this. whoever did this being either her or the dealership had no idea what they were doing. The look it has isn't too bad, all the hardware was about $40. I'm gonna leave it alone for now

I think it looks better than having fender flares on! I'm thinking about doing this to my first gen!

It looks like the wheels are spaced out, but without the extra strain on the bearings.

When you remove the fender flares, do the wheel well liners come with them, or are you able to leave them in. Also, any idea how much extra clearance you gained from the top of the tire to the wheel well now

The inner lining stays on when you remove them. The fender flare being off added maybe a little under 1/2inch

Weathertech floor liners moded to hold OEM floor mats, weathertech vent visors, Toyota bed mat, LEER 100XL cap, hood gasket mod to stop whistling.
What about replacing them with some Bushwhackers? If they turn out to be boogered up, it may be worth looking into.

I have the plastic clips to put them back on. Not a big fan of the bushwackers
