    Looking for some options on supplemental fuel options. Ideal would be a fuel tank and tool box combo. I have been searching around for some options or pictures of what some have done with not much luck. I am thinking of having one built at this point.
    Let's hear what you guys do for extra fuel. I know there is a lot of options just haven't found what I am looking for.

    Someone out there has to be rocking a transfer tank in the bed. Where's the equipment operators at out there?

    i had a customer that went on very long hunting trips and wanted a aux tank in his tool box so we got a tank for the bottom of the tool box that had a hose with a valve that would go into the stock tank. When the tank ran empty he would get out and turn the valve to fill it up again. worked very well

    I've seen some toolboxes online, but they run a high price. $850^
    Not sure if anyone on here is running one, sorry

    I don't know the weight of fuel, but if your wanting to put a decent storage tank, your going to have a bit of weight in materials plus whole lot of weight in fuel.

    That's what I am looking for. What kind of tank did u use? Custom built? How did the fuel transfer? Any pump or gravity fed somehow? I have a idea in my head of building a custom tool box with a 20-25 gallon tank in the bottom. Transferring is what I need to figure out. Don't really want it plumbed in.

    If the tank is in the bed, and thus higher than the stock fuel tank, a hand-primed siphon would work fine.

    Why don't you get one of those Aussie long range fuel tanks to replace your factory tank or are you looking to be sble to transfer fuel to another vehicle ?

    Some tanks are not rated for gasoline... Diesel only.

    This is probably what you're looking for.

    My old work-truck had one just like it bolted to the floor of the bed right behind the cab, and a (shallow) tool-box was bolted to the bed-rails tight up against the slip-tank.

    You might look at this;

    I would remind you that gas weighs about 6.25 pounds per gal. @ 72 degrees so keep that added weight in mind.
