Is this normal to have ice on the inside of my windshield. It was -9 this morning but to me that indicates I have a seal problem. Just curious

    Thanks

Did you leave something liquid in your truck ? Maybe a drink or something? Doubtful but could have evaporated to the Windshield

Check your windows and seals around your truck and seriously did you have a drink in your truck that evaporated onto the windshield?

no drinks but with snowy boots yesterday. Maybe the snow melt from the floor mats. I didn't think about that.

I have had this happen occasionally living in Vermont in my vehicles.
It has happened this winter on my 2013.
If your mats are wet/snowy, dew point, just had the truck in a warm garage or serviced, the weather just right...
than it is ridiculously stupid cold afterwards. It is crazy.
My truck has iced up on the inside windows after being warmed up while I was driving...

Weird winter this year for sure.
not to worry is my vote

my dads F-150 use to always be damp around the bottom of the windshield and dash.
I always assumed the seal around the bottom was letting in moisture.
since its a 13' id take it to the dealer and ask for a new bead around the whole windshield

Anything that brings humidity into the interior will cause condensation on the cold windshield and icing when it freezes.

It's the humidity. When I lived in MN I got it frequently. What I do is lower the windows for a bit to exchange the moist air with the dry outside air (assuming the outside humidity has dropped with the cold weather). If it's wet floor mats bring them inside to dry. Or once the ice melts I'll just take a towel to the windows if it's bad enough.

A slew of pricey stuff my wife hates me for.
Agreed. When driving I always make sure I'm using the windshield/floor setting to help evaporate the moisture from the floor, and I'll crack the rear window to give it a place to escape.

Moisture build-up inside the cab in the winter can start all sorts of headaches.

Mine does this if I leave the vents set to defrost. I always switch back to something else when i park at work or overnight, like foot only and haven't had a problem since. Idk why it makes a difference but it does.

this is it. I've had this happen with every vehicle I've ever owned. If you get in with snowy boots and then it melts during the day when the heat is on it'll cause frost on the inside of the windows. I've always cured it by rolling the windows down once the interior is good and heated up and the mats are dried out, or leave the windows open on a warmer day to let the moisture out.

My truck has had ice form on the inside of the windshield while parked overnight in the driveway numerous times. This happens even when the truck hasn't been driven in a week and the floor mats are perfectly dry. I've never had this problem with any other vehical i've owned... wtf?

You have not lived until you have to use an ice scraper in side your vehicle it's pretty normal in this kind of cold winter temps we have been having. Every thing I have owned has done this the newer they are the more likely they are to do this they are a lot tighter.
