Well we got our first bit of snow today, I climb in my truck go to flip the heat on and nothing... No air no sound no smell, a/c does the same thing. So I drive 30 min home luckily nothing major froze to the windshield, I turn the truck off and on hoping it was just a "hickup" but still nothing. Any idea what I can try or check?
Btw everything worked find on my way to work this morning before the snow.

So your blower motor isn't working? Sounds like your not getting any power to the motor. Try checking to see if you have a blown fuse.

If the fuse isn't blown ... Get something kinda heavy and tap the vent motor with it
With the fan set to High

    Tap not a death blow

That happened to me and I found a field mouse family just above the fan motor

Removed the debris and dead baby mice

I eventually did the cowl screen and no problems since

Might not have anything to do with it... But then again ?

    Good luck

Passenger side right above where your right foot would be if you are sitting in the seat

It's held in with 3 screws and has one white plug attached

Same thing happened to me with my 2002 tacoma

I live out in the woods

The frost on the metal line means your air conditioning compressor is working

That's probably why your engine increased rpm - the compressor kicked on

Here is a pic I just took

Just tap it with a flashlight with the key on and set it to high

    Might work

Take your cabin air filter out and check for foreign objects

Just above that is a large hole where junk can get on top of the cabin filter

If it's a mouse they will probably come back - cowl screen will keep them out

This has happened to me on two different trucks

Saw the cowl screen fix on TW

Glad it worked ... I always try to find the easy fix first

On my 1st gen I would have my wife kick the fan motor if she was in the truck

She tired of that quickly and I had to figure it out - plus it was making a lot of noise.

I'll check the cabin filter and clean out whatever I find in the morning.

I'm glad it was an easy fix though. Thanks again
