New to this site, so hope you enjoy the pics!!

This thread will be copied from other sites that the build is on as well. Just changing it up a bit cuz the image joint cannot be copied. LOL.:D

Here are some pics of when I first got the truck. I traded the truck and the paint and body work for stereo equipment and labor, so all in all, I have around $1600.00 in the truck including paint and body work. Salvaged title.

    How I got it:

    Original alarm/door popper/underglow install.

Now, I didnt take enough pics of the Second Skin installation or the cable routing. Its all getting done over, so I WILL post it as I go this time. Here it is as it sits now. The bs black wheels were traded for factory 2006 Mazda 6 wheels. Fit with no issues. Wanted a taller tire wall for some better riding comfort.

Now, as you can see with the horn and mid installation, there are flaws. This was my first horn install. Jason Winslow and Joey Cloninger both took a listen and pointed out what I needed to do in order to get much better sound. The good news is that it sounds pretty much identical from either the driver or passenger seat and is centered very well. But there are gaps between the top of the horns and the bottom of the dash, so that will be addressed. The horns are NOT parallel with the floor, so that will be fixed. I am also going to move the CX's to the doors and return the kicks to factory.

You can see from this pic the beginning of the rusty scab that had to be repaired. It was pretty horrible. Whoever welded the tailgate handle left holes in the welds, so water came through the back side and started rusting the metal from under the paint. I think its licked now though. lol.

    Quick equipment list.

    HU: GASP!!! JVC

    Processor: Arc DXE

Speakers: Image Dynamics (ID) Ultra Mini Horns

    ID CX62 Midbass drivers

    ID MAX 12 DVC2

Amps: Arc XXK 2500 2 each

    ID Q 450.4 1 each

    Others:2 Kinetic KHC600's

Tsunami MID grade cables and CHEAP A$$ Power wire. LOL. What a disgrace I am to the high end car stereo world. [IMG]

Here is the amp rack I am currently still working on. You can see the 2 factory bolts in the rear floor of the truck. I have to weld a bracket up for that, and the other 2 points near the seat belts will just go through the floor. Should be secure with the 2"x1" square stock?

This was the old bumper "reinforcement". Whoever cut it was trying to make a lumberjack saw I think. Anyway.....SCRAP!!

    DSCI0034_654234dfd139437908018aaa4554aecd8d3406e5.jpg

I used some of the square stock to make it a little better. It makes a huge improvement to stiffen the crappy fiberglass bumper.

    DSCI0035_99f6522a59a25ba593788d598d0e21c945654e40.jpg

Bumper is cracked all to hell...........hopefully it will be awhile before I have to do this again. LOL

    DSCI0037_2e6a977fbd89a23642376db8e0beaa0876783641.jpg

And thats where I am at for the time being....hopefully more to come soon. Its hard to get much done when all your tools are in storage, and you have a family to tend too as well. Wish me luck and thanks for looking. Any questions just pm me.

And this may be in the wrong section...if its needs to be moved, mods should do it. Sorry. Its a street truck after all. lol But Im rebuilding it...well, paint and audio anyway. HA

The only other forums I am on is CarAudioEnthusiast.com and DIYMA...on occassion.

OH and Craig Fraser's airbrushing forum KustomKultureLounge.com. The truck is on all but DIYMA. Those guys will have to wait until I am finished. lol
