It's no secret that I hate chrome. I have never liked it. I personally like things to be subtle and sometimes even hard to notice. Kind of like a "ah ha" moment when someone does notice something on the truck.

That said, I'm curious as to what you guys think of this?

I ordered black because I wanted it to show up just enough but not really stand out. I could have got a chrome one but again I hate chrome.

    Yea or Nay?

I feel like from a distance it is going to blend in with the grille and all I'll see is some red and white flim stuck in the grille. I liked what a guy did in the "What have you done..." thread and just took his small TOYOTA emblem and put it there.

I like it, I think it would look even better in a different color but matte, like a gunmetal or something so it will stand out from the black but not be chrome.

I think that would definitely look better. Break up a full black grille.

Then you could finish it off with a set of white devil horns made by Andres. That would look sick

I like it, but I would move it to the other side of the grill if you can.... would look better there in my opinion

Derp it white. Or ditch the TRD. I can't wait to derp my emblems and grille and get a rear bumper. Chrome is not for me.

i like it how it is. very subtle, but you can still see it fine, especially if you're walking by

Love that matte black. Me and chrome don't get along!

Like all of you, I'm 'derping' it this coming spring! :D

    Cheers,

If you want it to stand out a bit more. Tape off the front of the badge and spray the sides white. Then there is a tie in to the truck color without a drastict contrast.

Yeah, Mine's not derp'd. I painted the grill with Matte Black Stripe paint to match the lower valance. I like the idea of the emblem not showing up until you just happen to look at it which is why I went with black. JMO though.

Not going to paint it white as it wouldn't be subtle any more and no to the devil horn Toyota badge. I'm one of the few that doesn't like those.

Yea from me. Nice and subtle.

I love it and I hate chrome too. I bought a black one and a chrome one for my 2014 4x4 TDR Sport that is on order. If I don't like the black one, I will probably plastidip the chrome one and then see which I like better.

whenever HomerTaco comes out with the kit for a DIY satoshi, I think that badge would look badass on it.
