    I imagine this question has been answered ...I have a 2013 Tacoma TRD. Put it LO 4 according to owners manual instructions and it beeped. So I call the dealership and one service tech tells me it's supposed to beep when it's in LO 4. I verified the procedure in the OM and called the dealership back. Another service guy answered and his response was a question which was 'Why are you in LO 4?' I answered by saying because I followed the instructions to put it into LO 4 and it did what it was supposed to do...except for the beeping. He tried to imply that I shouldn't worry about it beeping since I should only be in LO 4 if I'm at a 75 degree include hanging on by the steering wheel.

    What's the deal with that kind of BULL***T response?

    Can anyone tell me how to make it stop beeping?

    Sorry for the rant...it's not anyone here. It's the dealership. Thanks for you help in advance....Blake

    Mine only beeps when it doesn't properly engage in 4Lo, so I'll just have to disengage and engage again...

    I mean mine is a 2006, but I don't think yours should be any different...

    Beeping = still in 4Hi

    It shouldn't beep in 4lo, beeping means something is being done wrong. What lights are lit up on your dash?

    After posting this question I went out and tried resetting it after finding another thread here. Here's what I did. I drove it around the parking lot in 4 HI...then stopped...shifted into park...shifted into neutral...then put it into 4 LO. It reset. No more beeping. Thank you.

    The same kinda thing happened to me when I wasn't properly engaging the locker on my TRD OR truck. The symbol would flash but wouldn't engage because I didn't know I had to be in 4lo to engage it.
