Any one else ever had a problem rubbing on your ARB bumper. I don't have an issue rubbing cab mount like most. Hit a pot whole and felt some rubbing so I went to investigate where it rubbed. To my shock it hit my front bumper.

Now for the question. Would it be worth it to trim the bumper. Or will it take away from the stability of it?

Oh and I should mention this was not your normal dip and I was traveling at a high rate of speed.

From what i've seen, you'll have to trim it a bit, it won't effect the integrity i believe.

I've actually thought about cutting it before I knew about this problem because I did not like the way it does not follow the factory flares.

I cut off 1.5'' tapered down to about an 1/8''. Not sure if it was enough though.

Looks like I'm going to have to flex it out and see if I need to cut more.

I had the same problem. the ARB bumper sliced up my brand new A/T on my first outing. Used an angle grinder and tried to follow the flare curve. Much better now with no rubbing from the bumper.

I think I'm going to go back and cut another 1/4 inch. I just did not want to butcher it and cut too much.

Yeah I like the way it turned out, but being that it's cut now it worries me that it would slice the tire up if it does not have the clearance.

So I'm going to try to flex it out. (Not sure if it will work though.) To be sure. Function over style.

    Thanks though.

My cut might have been a little much, but i'd rather cut too much then not enough and find out that I sliced my tire again. Oh well....it's just metal :)

Next I need to cut more off the RH side. But first i need to get a come-along and pull it out some due to some damage.

There were a couple of guys on expo who had to cut theirs; I think Tacodoc was one of them. At least one of them welded a piece on the back to create a lip, sort of like what it had, so that it wouldn't cut anything. I think another of them used body molding to cover the cut edge.

I'm not sure. Do you have any side profile pics? I know mine did not follow the factory lines at all.
