Hey guys! So this 93 pickup was my first truck, i got it for christmas when i was 15 with 116,500 miles,($200 with new shocks and tires!!!!!) it was pretty rotten at the time, the driver side LCA was actually snapped in two, the brake lines were rusted through, and the gas tank was not so great at holding gas.. Many other things on the truck were worn out, ball joints, wheel bearings, the whole deal. So i got myself a haynes manual and started to learn about my new exciting vehicle. This was the first time i had ever heard of torsion bars, and ever fixed something 4wd. So basically it took a couple years for me to get this thing back into proper order, I replaced all the control arms, rebuilt and greased the whole front end, gas tank, whatever it needed, also got some bushwhacker fender flares, steelies, window tint, a decent stereo, and 31' bfg's. a short time after that i went away to school away from home, so my mom traded me her 02 tacoma and some cash for this truck. (the taco had less miles and was seemingly more reliable, more room, and it had a v6) She has been driving the truck since, 3yrs. Last year i glanced under the truck and noticed something very bad… the frame! Abouve the leaf spring perches was totally rotten, and the beam that hold the gas tank was rotten and had holes in it. so it was time to patch that..[IMG][IMG]
Underneath there was a lot more rot,i didn't have time to do this last year… but i do this year! seems like the top of the frame is good, and usually the bottom inner is bad
Heres the list of to do's for the 93
-fix frame with 1/8 inch steel
    -toytec aal
-homemade shackles (1 inch over stock/ 1/2 inch lift?)
    -u bolt flip
    -pro comp es9000 shocks
-spare tire crank (never had one)
-fab new rear cab mounts on frame
    -energy suspension cab mounts
    -pitman arm
    -ball joints
-make 1' ball joint spacer and crank torsion bars less
    -steering stabilizer
-grind down everything rusty/ paint it
-spray inside/ outside w/ fluid film
    -diff breather relocate
    -rear main seal
    -oil pan gasket
    -transfer case gasket (rtv)

the back crossmember is offset all stupid like that so i can bolt in the spare tire crank easier haha

Made a little progress today.. Got the springs under it, and shackles bolted up. all pro u bolt flip was a little tricky to get on. To get enough width from the top plate i turned it and used a big pair of chanel locks to squeeze the unbolts in enough.. without doing that it looks like the pic below..

This is what the plating looks like, mostly the inside and underneath the frame needed it…. Someone would not want to rear end this thing thats for sure

Got the u bolt flip on, and made some shock tabs/ welded them on. Also extended the bump stops a little bit. The LSPV is toast, so its time for a manual proportioning valve

Got the transmission and transfer case out, probably have to take the front diff out to get the oil pan gasket on as well.. with these out of the way i can do the main seal and get at the frame much better. [IMG][IMG]
