solid thread here. Im sold on these especially bc I can get 265/75/16 c load compared to my current bfg at 10 ply. Shopping around I will pry get them from tire discount. My goodyear dealer has em marked up and the fool told me that they dont come in 6 ply. He honestly told me " this, being an a/t tire wouldnt makes sense to make in a 6 ply, it wouldn't hold up at all." There may be small bits of truth to it not holding up (punctures), but it is offered in c load. A salesman doesnt even know his own product?!
Anyways looking forward to these, will pry get 80% highway use, 20% gravel and off-road. And better mpg.

Anyone regret goin with 6's and not 10's?

This is the tire I would like to go with next. Will these work on a stock set up without rubbing? I don't have a lift and running a 2012 TRD Sport Upgrade package. It currently has the stock 265/60 R18 on it.

I have about 30k. Based on the wear, I should be at 45-50k when I need to replace.

6 to 10 ply...less tread. Puncture easier. Can't deflate to get the sidewalls to grip and sidewall flexing when you turn a corner. Not to mention how much weight you can carry. hope this helps.

I have nearly 65k miles on my dura tracks. They have worn great. I rotated every 5k miles since they were new. I have noticed that since about 55k miles they don't stay balanced well. I am shopping for new tires now although it looks like I have decent amount of tread left. I lost approx 2 mpg when I put the duratracs on. I am looking for a similar tire that is lighter.

I have had mine on for about 15K, drove all the way from Boston to Florida and back with them on. They still look almost as good as the day I got them, and I couldnt be more happy!!

17,000 on mine so far. Not one issue and they still look brand new. Actually on my last oil change toyota came and asked if I wanted my tires rotated because they said it look like I had them put on that day haha.

I have nearly 40k miles on mine and rotate them ever 5k miles. They still have considerable tread left and pulled like a champ in the snow we had yesterday! I'll buy them again for sure.

Could you please explain, '6 to 10 ply... less tread'. Does the 6 ply or the 10 ply have less tread?

I have read several people puncturing the sidewall. How many of you guys have experienced this?

Also, anyone tow or haul with these? Just curious how they hold up under weighted conditions.

I am thinking of getting a set of these (Load E) since my BFG AT are on their last leg.

I liked mine for the first 10k miles, then after rotation and about another 2k they became loud and they shake my truck like crazy, its not balancing or alignment, i had the tires looked at with a laser machine and it turns out they are not round anymore so they are vibrating the entire truck. They look awesome and are great on the trail, but honestly no i wouldn't buy them again. Im going back to All Terrians this summer, they are a lighter tire so my 2.7 will like them better.

I had the 285/75R16 E Duratracs for about a year, 12K miles on em. All tires were at 14/32" tread depth, new is 18/32", I would call it 75% tread. The edges were getting pretty round, but minimal chunking and no sidewall issues, and wheeled the shit out of em last summer.

Towed a raft with them, but it was not very heavy, maybe 750 lbs with trailer and loaded with camping gear.

265 75 16r E rated (overkill) with about 52k should make it to 60 if I can survive the noise and vibrations. They have been a good tire in all weather conditions and off road but I took a 2mpg hit and lost one from a gash in the sidewall while offroading. Not sure if others have had the issue off road or not.

This is my DD so I was happy at first with the noise level but around 40k I started hearing them get loud. I was happy that the tire lasted twice as long as most tires I get, made it worth the $195.

Dont know if I will get another set, I want a tire that is a little nicer for the DD but does well offroad, maybe mickey thompsons.

I have 40 thousand on mine and they are about done due to lack of rotating. Have about 6 patches. When I first got them 3 tires were out of round from factory. They do great in snow and rain. Gonna go with something else next week considering I never have time for off road play.

I had the exact same experience. I'm convinced that Good-Year tires are keeping the wheel weight industry in business. I never could get these stupid things to balance properly. I do have about 30,000 miles on mine though. Honestly, I can't wait for them to finally wear out so I can replace them.

Has anyone paid much attention to tire pressure vs fuel mileage? I'm running stock suspension and will soon be installing 265/75/16 C rated Duratracs, what's the *sweet spot* for best ride and mileage?

Purchased my current set January 2, 2013 with 94,520 miles on the truck. Now have 152,000 and still have tons of life left. One road-force balance at 108k miles on the truck and regular 4-5k rotations provided me with glass smooth driving for 40k miles. Just had to have them rebalanced a few thousand miles ago, but these tires have been great!
