I loved my rubber boots and rain gear. Growing up I had a green space behind my house and I built forts and tree houses. There was a little creek from street run off. I use to build little boats and float them down. I never asked/wanted for an N64 or Sega. I did get one for Xmas and still spent more time outside. Kids don't have to use their imagination anymore. It's sad.
And who can forget about playing cowboys and Indians. Now a parent would get arrested and be called a racist.

Yeah, I've read theirs, too; good stuff! They're all really smart folks.

    Same here.

yep. Someone in my class accused me of being a racist b/c I disagreed with something Obama said in his State Of The Union address (which, apparently, as a white person, you're not allowed to criticize any action of anyone who also isn't white...........but, that's an entirely different conversation lol)...I simply said to the girl, "I'm not a racist, I just don't tolerate stupidity. I disagree with his white half just as much as I do with his black half..."

Every time I think of big wheels I can't help but remember my older brother driving his into a guardrail. He's still got a scar just above his right eye on his forehead.

I think video games were much harder back then. We would always get frustrated after about an hour and go outside. One thing is for sure they don't make water guns like they used to.

Believe it or not, I made it through high school without youtube, facebook, and a cell phone.

Anyone remember those huge dictionaries? [IMG]
Seems like there was one in every class room and I would hate having to look up a word.

    McDonalds

"Two all-beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame seed bun - BIG MAC!" The campaign started the 70s, but continued into the 80s.
From 1989, the McDonalds Menu song campaign: "Big Mac, McBLT, a Quarter Pounder with some cheese, Fillet O' Fish a Hamburger, a Cheesburger, a Happy Meal, Mc Nuggets, tasty golden fries, regular or larger size, a salad, Chef or Garden or a Chicken Salad Oriental, big big breakfast, Egg Mc Muffin, hot Hot cakes and sausage, maybe biskets, bacon, egg, and cheese a sausage, danish, hash browns too, and for desert hot apple pies, sundaes three varieties, soft served cone, three kinds of shakes and chocholaty chip cookies, and to drink a Coca-Cola, Diet Coke, Orange drink, Sprite, a coffee decafe too, a milk and also orange juice, I love McDonald's, its a "Good Time Great Taste," and I get this all at one place!"
