    I like these...

    http://www.discounttiredirect.com/d...2011&pc=50243&counter=1&wd=17&rw=9&vid=019282

    Raceline Monsters in 17"

I have a 2011 DC TRD TX that has TRD wheels (I assume the previous owner sold or traded off the TX wheels).

I want an AT type tire. I don't do much off roading, and when I do it's not anything but beach sand and the light dirt and wet grass :D, but I want to know what size tire can i shove under my truck with those tires without a lift.

I have looked in the threads but am having trouble on finding stock height trucks. For now my truck will stay at stock height, maybe in the future some 5100s will find their home in my DC.

For 17's with stock suspension 265/70 17 would be about the largest tire you could put on

1" lift from 3rd gen suspension, 265/75/16 ATs
Those are 9" wide wheels so 1.5" wider than stock.

I would guess with 265/70/17 you will loose front mudflaps at least?

You should not run 17x9's with a 265 series tire. You'll have an extreme "stretch" look, and your tire to wheel fitment will border on unsafe. Stretch fitments belong on rice rockets, not trucks. You'll also open yourself up to risking more curb damage to your rims, which sucks.

Depending on offset, a 17x9 is likely to rub anyway.

If you're hellbent on running a 17x9, run a 285 and get yourself a decent lift. That was half the reason I lifted mine - the rims I was helbent on running are 17x8.5's.

Stretch is bad thanks for the heads up. Might stick with 16s.

Just a little insight from what I've experienced. I have 265/75-16s. Prior to lifting I tried putting these wheels and tires on. They rubbed when turning. Once I went to 1.75" lift in the front they didn't rub anymore. Wheels have 0 offset.

I am not necessarily looking for the biggest tire. Just something different that the TRD wheels I have on it now.

I've got the SCS Stealth 6's on my truck 17x8.5 and had no rubbing with 265/65/17 stock tires and height in pic. They are very reasonable priced and hubcentric as well. I have went up a size in tires to 265/70/17 and rubbed a little, but just minimal trimming needed.

Edit: They also have these coming out soon with a group buy

I really like those SCS wheels. Thanks for the pic. Doesn't look like they stick out very much at all. Where did they rub when you went up? What did you trim?

    Thanks again.

Any photos that show how far they stick out of fender if any? Thanks!
