It all depends on what you want to do with your truck. I mean do you want to customize it? If not then go for it man they are sweet trucks for being stock. I personally would rather just customize my truck instead of being limited to a certain package.

I think it's great. Anything that shows Toyota is still interested in the off-road community is a good thing in my eyes. I hope the next gen Tacoma is based on the 150 series Toyota chassis and not something similar to the A-Bat concept they showed off years ago.

First month of ownership... This month I'm removing front air dam, and also Rhino lining the bed.
If I had to do over I wouldn't even have gotten the TRD. The components were too weak for serious off-road use. I'm not impressed at all with the Baja and/or Pro packages.

Seven years into mine I've changed out all the TRD goodness anyway, except the rear locker, but even that I have modified to work whenever I choose it to.

I found the TRD shocks too soft for heavy loads and trail use.

I hated the stock stereo, especially the speakers.

    The engine is underpowered.

    The bumpers are like tinfoil.

In the end I changed it all and am very pleased with the results.

I may go for a Jeep next, but certainly not a Rubicon. I'd get a Sport and tear it apart and build it my way. But right I'm happy with my Taco… waiting to see what the next gen Taco brings.

I like them. If I didn't just buy my truck and set it up with the Baja package. I would buy a TRD PRO. I like the components great off road trucks and I'm sure they are fun to drive.

question.... can one currently say on a 2012 2013 or 2014 buy just the inner part of the grill... the black part... no the chrome / colormatched surround?
