FOR THE HiD FOLKS -- TRUE HI/LO HID HEADLIGHTS

since i was taking pic of the 2012 update anyway i took some more pics of the HID bulbs to help some people out understanding what a true HID HI/LO bulb is...

notice there is 2 HID filaments, not just an HID and a halogen or a single HID and a little device that moves the single single filaments position to a different angle that is supposed to be your bright lights.

it is hard to take a picture of lights when they are turned on but i also included pics of what tur white light looks like, those are 5600K REAL 5600K which is a little higher color temp than the sun so no yellow, so be CAREFUL when you purchase bulbs that the seller is reputable and the bulbs are what they say they are. again i will say, true 6000k bulbs will start making your visible light diminish and be blue-ish looking, people who say they have like 12000k bulbs are scamming you because to a human eye all you would see is a basically maybe the bulb glowing, no light emission

OP you got a link to those? Retrofit projectors won't work for my truck.

 

LOL, they are European 55watt not US 35watt HID, they bright as hell, meant to be and i did the mod to have both filaments light at the same time when you turn on the bright its same mod to do with stock bulbs to make both filaments in the halogen bulbs light

i found similar bulbs, just take those shields off and get 4 55watt ballast and your in business!

ballast are interchangable, do not have to come in a 'kit' with bulbs, hope that helps

not sure what bransthose are, etc, but kinda sucks i paid $200 each per bulb without ballast way back when lol! guess everything getting cheaper, guess thats a good thing when i need a replacement
