My boat has surge brakes so don't need a controller I think I'm close to the 6500 lbs limit we will see how she does in the spring do a test tow around town before I try and hit the highway still have the wife's half ton.

Having a boat/trailer that weighs in about 6500 lbs is a big boat. Also, if your trailer is rated for more than 6000 lbs, it probably rides a 2-5/16" ball. It seems odd that a trailer rated for that heavy of a load doesn't have trailer brakes.

If the wiring harness is anything more than 4 wires, then you should have a brake controller. 5 pin flat has the fifth wire for brakes. If you do want a brake controller in your truck, I would be happy to help you install one once I am over there.

It's only a 21 foot boat the trailer is a twin axle and it has brakes just not electric brakes it's a 5 blade wire harness so when your in reverse it turns off the brakes to allow you to back up, Or so I was told

I spent some time figuring out all the wiring going to the rear wire harness. There are 7 colors to look at for wires
    Brown - running lights
Green - right turn and brake
Yellow - left turn and brake
    White - ground
    Blue - electric brakes
    Purple - reverse lights
    Red - auxiliary 12v power

On a 5 pin flat, it should be white, brown, yellow, green, and blue. Take a look at your trailer and see if it has reverse lights. I won't say I know everything on this topic, but I have tried to know a bit about it.

I might have to take a look at that bed rack on person one of these days. I like those side rails to help tie things down without reaching into the bed. The headache rack would be a nice thing to have as well

I like how nimble these trucks are and capable off road and how you can modify them and still keep your warranty

Was exploring out on Burma, and it's trails, off of Old 97, heading South out of CDA...
Heard a horrible sound, as I entered a trail-head; stopped, and found this thing pierced and wedged between my C-Rated Duratrac and wheel-well
Took me a fair amount of time to maneuver it out

    Can't think of any reason this thing would be brought into existence and end up where it did;
other than to do specifically what it did... get lodged in my tire
Maybe someone was trying to protect their fields of grass or something

I immediately started praying I had enough air-time left in my tire to just move to a spot more conducive to changing it; I actually still haven't ended up needing to
Thankfully, the nail that got lodged in my tire only went into the tread and not all the way through into the tire itself
It went around at least a rotation or two; so, I'm also thankful it didn't get wadded up in my suspension, rip my CV boots, etc.

if you have people wheeling on your property, i could see having something like that around, but otherwise, that is bullshit. sounds like you got lucky with that. too bad there isn't a way to trace it back to who put it out.

Thanks. I hope it works out too. I will be driving a rental truck towing my wife's car. Se is coming over Monday with the horse. Horse is being shipped professionally, and wife will be pulling our horse trailer. Our truck has ok tires, but also chains available if needed. Rental truck is just going to be based on crushing through any snow to get to the ground for traction.

Well, I made it. The day I left, snoqualamie and Stevens passes were both closed. Ended up taking a 600 mile long route down to Portland, across the top of Oregon, then up through tri cities. Did it over 2 days. I was driving a diesel 24' truck with a car dolly pulling a Jetta, both packed, wife driving our taco with the horse trailer, coolers of food and a wheelbarrow in the bed, stall mats, hay, and a few other things in the trailer, and sister driving a 16 ft truck with 2000+ lbs of stall mats, plus all my tools, and the rest of the stuff from the garage powered by a gas v8. We put in a lot of hours of driving. Got the trucks unloaded and have been getting things unpacked and arranged here.

Is there anybody else around deer park area? I saw a taco at the pawn shop with maxxis tires on, and custom decal on passenger side rear quarter panel.

Turns out I can't get a queen box spring anywhere in the house except on the main level with no bedrooms. There are about 6 steps up, then a landing with 90 turn and more up. The ceiling, hand rail, and lower stairs all collectively work to just block the way. The handrail is not something to just pull off easily then reattach. To go to the finished basement, the box spring hits the ceiling of the stairwell and hallway above the stairs before being able to make the full tilt to slide down. Found out that Sears sells a split queen box spring though.

One of the neighbors stopped by today with a bottle of wine and to say hi. I told my wife that maybe I could cook with the wine. She doesn't do alcohol at all, and I am a beer person. I don't really care for wine.

On a happy note, we got a bigger check from escrow that I was expecting. After sale of old house, down payment of new, realtors fees, and all the other fees, the return check came in for $19k. I can now pay off credit cards, and have a few bucks to spare. Before I blow it on toys, I have to get a job first.
