Is there a front lift that is recommended that will give me about 3" of lift and not have 1" of down travel? I heard the 5100s only have an inch of down travel at the 2.5 mark. I was actually planning on going with some rough country shocks and some longer coils. Already got a quote from wheelersoffroad. Is this going to have the same problem? My plan was the rough country shocks, extended OME coils(and I believe there is a little spacer), and dakars with the rough country's in the rear as well. I wish I could afford the 5100s but they're to pricey. Any advice?

Wait and order bilsteins, or save up for coil overs. Do it right the first time it will save you money in the long run

I still heard the bilsteins only have an inch of down travel at the top setting. What are you talking about when you say coil overs? With my budget, YotaDan from wheelers was helping me and he recommended the rough country. Told me the setup would give me my lift, and is still a good shock. He even runs them on his DD, they're just not quite as high performance as the 5100s

My truck is only a prerunner. It sees a little offroad, no major wheeling. Mostly a DD

Thanks for the read. I have seen that. So what is the difference in rough country struts with longer coils, and coil overs?

Coilovers are adjustable all I have to do is take my spanner wrench out and either raise or lower my truck, rough country struts with longer springs will be a set height. Coi overs give you more adjustability in more then just lift also

Oh ok. I see now. I really am looking for just a small lift in a decent budget, and YotaDan recommended the rough country's as a cheaper lift then the 5100s. He told me they are still a good shock and runs them on his DD as well. My truck sees mostly pavement, I'm just looking for a small lift mostly for looks(I know, I know), but of course for the added clearance. Coil overs would be more then I need really. I was just worried about the down travel because I heard you don't have much when the 5100s were at the 2.5 settings, and was wondering if the rough country's would be the same

3" lift EIBACH coils w/ 5100's front, OME/ Dakar leaf springs w/ toytec adjustable shackles at 1.5" and 5125's out back. 33x10.5x15 KM2's Relentless DIY steel bumper.
Get the 5100's but also get the longer coils

TG front bumper, TG x-member, warn winch, solo long travel, deaver f-67s w/ TC brackets, king 2.5 shocks, Custom tube rear bumper and bed cage.
I believe this is the only way to have lift and still have down travel. Topping out on speed bumps and entering parking lots gets to be annoying. I am selling this kit but you are across the country.

Yeah. It's probably out of my budget anyway. I really don't want to spend more on shocks then I did on tires haha
