I'd like to show off my mount that I made for my toolbox.
My old metal toolbox was leaving rust stains in the bed; so, last Christmas I bought myself a plastic toolbox, but didn't count on it sliding all over the bed. I came up with an idea of a steel frame the size of the toolbox that would bolt to the bed and keep it in place.

I cut up an old bed frame; the holes came in handy to secure the box in place. The bars are for under the bed, instead of washers alone, to distribute the clamping of the bolts.

Primed and sprayed with Rustoleum bed liner.

Bolted in place with the bed mat trimmed. Notice I still have access to my extra bed-bolt, D-ring.

Here is the front bar under the bed; I used stainless steel hardware and foam weather stripping on the mating surfaces. Not meant to seal anything, the weather stripping is for cushion and grip.

Finally, the box in place; I have the chain pulled tight and locked.
Hopefully this should keep the box in place and somewhat secure from thieves ... ones without bolt-cutters, that is.

I like this. Did you drill new holes in the bed?
