I have a 2010 TRD Off-road access cab and just recently received my 5100's in the mail. My question is does any one else have the same truck as mine & the 5100's set at 1.75? Wondering how the ride quality was & maximum wheel & tire size I could run on either the .85 or 1.75 setting.

plenty of info on here if you search. but in short, doesn't matter the cab. i ran 265-75-16 no problem at 1.75. now at 2.5 on the billies with 285-75-16 and as long as your back spacing is correct there will be limited trimming required but you will most likely need new uca's to get a good alignment.

    Hey Trav,

I just did 5100s at 1.75 on my TRD off-road. I wouldn't go bigger than 265/75/16 for tires unless you want to bump to 2.5 and do some cutting. See my pic gallery for ideas on the look.

The ride is notably stiffer, but I wouldn't say unbearable or really unpleasant. I'm happy overall. Hope that helps.

I have the same truck you do and I started with the Billies at 1.75 and 265/75/16 tires, they fit with minor trimming. But I ended up setting the Billies at 2.5 and getting 285/70/17 tires and didn't do anymore trimming at all. The bigger tires rub occasionally when I'm offroad but they never rub on the street.

Thanks for the feedback! How does it ride with it set at 2.5??

Thanks for the info! When you had yours set at 1.75 did you add anything to the rear to level the truck out?

Used to have the same setup. I had mine at the same setting. Rides a little firmer but not too bad. Should look nice and level if you aren't lifting the rear.

Thanks man for the info, I've been searching non stop since I posted this thread lol. This is the setup I think I am going to go with

    5100's set at .85
    16x8 DC-2 wheels -12 offset
265/70/16 Nitto Terra grapplers or Goodyear Duratracs not sure which to go with.

Hopefully no rubbing or trimming with this setup

Thanks for the feedback! Some threads I've seen on here suggest lifting the rear with the 5100's set at 1.75. One thread said the truck sits nose high without lifting the rear and the 5100's set at 1.75

By the way sick truck you built! By far one of the baddest Tacoma's I've seen on here

Good idea on reading up here, I've been doing the same thing since I knew I was getting my Taco in December. To hopefully answer some of your questions:

I also added the Icon progressive AAL in the rear on my truck, to help keep some factory rake/lift the back a bit. I'm now about level, 0.5" higher in the rear on both sides, which is exactly what I wanted.
I think you'd be able fit 265/75/16 tires stock, or especially with Bilsteins at 0.85" or higher. I had my Duratracs in that size on without any lift for about 2 weeks without any rubbing whatsoever.

I ran into the same problem when deciding with my setup: 1.75" with some rear lift or 0.85" without. I think mine would look or measure nose-high with 1.75" without anything in the rear, so probably choose accordingly.
