I've recently replaced the engine on my '02 Tacoma and I cannot figure out what this goes to. It's in the same bundle of wires as the injector plugs. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Cam position sensor is nearby (directly between #2 and #3 injector). Is that plugged in?

I'm not sure what that plug is for, maybe you can look at the wire colors, then look at a wiring diagram and possibly see what it plugs into.just a thought.

Ran the engine yet?,, The replacement was a 02?.

Just looked at my 99 and there is a oem green colored Evap? valve that bolts on a boss where the manifold splits (mine is 8 port). 2 Vac lines going to it. Firewall side of manifold, threaded boss with green valve? is on the top tucked in the manifold and its on the 3rd cyl back intake runner set. From the looks of it,that same style of plug is plugged into that valve and it seems to be about the right length from the picture you posted. I didn't pull that plug because I haven't had any problems with that system and it's fugly to get too. I just killed the internet trying to find that part name or number. Missed it somewhere.

Both the 4 port and the 8 port intakes have the same threaded bosses in the same place (3rd cyl back from front)

Cam sensor on my 99 is a big black 2 pin plug.

It could possibly be a evap/emissions change that was deleted for that year, mid year,, and it's just a ride-along plug now.

It looks like an injector plug or a knock sensor plug but I'm just going off of what I've seen on my truck which is the v6 not the 4cyl.

Mine has the green colored evap as well and it's tucked in there pretty good. I'm going to double check around the 3rd cyl tonight. Thanks for the help!
