OK, as you can see from the title I'm wondering what you would do if you have a $1500 dollar budget for a lift. Simple question. Let's see some simple answers. haha

Just for the front or for front and back? Are you planning on adding a plate bumper or winch? any off roading?

Installing yourself or does that factor in shop install labor?

Be patient save another 1500 and get quality suspension like Fox, King, Icon, etc. and install it yourself.

OME is praised beyond belief from what I've seen. Headstrong off-road gives a great deal and includes LR UCA's with it for a great price.

I was looking at the toytec ultimate 3" but went with the Bilstein 3" coilover kit. It was $919 I believe. I'd did this instead of the ultimate because really the ultimate lifts only advantage is adjustability while on the truck and once it's at 3" I don't plan on bringing it down so that was a waist of $$ that could be spent on UCA's for me.

I like the idea of the Icon's but are the stage 1's the best bang for your buck compared to the Toytec 3" ultimate for example? I also heard the the Icon's run stiff? I'm mainly on pavement but I would like to get rid of the bouncing around ride of the stock Taco...Thanks for youy reply

This^^^ I wish I would have just spent the money and bought Icons or Kings right from the start.

I've got the Toytec Ultimate lift and I would hate to see if there is anything more stiff. I'd also say that if you're planing on going with Dakars in the rear, then the 5100's are not long enough. I've had to replace both of my rear shocks with only 30k miles and really no off-roading. But Toytec has always been great with resolving the issues.

light offroading with mostly pavement I would get the 5100's and add eibach coils. Set the 5100s at .85" and the eibachs will give 1.6" I believe.

    Front springs
    Front shocks

    rear shocks

FOr the rear I would get the 3 leaf progressive pack instead of a Single AAL. This will be much smoother. I had it and loved it.

Here is a link to stage one. Most people are not running a diff drop but its a personal choice. Do some research on tw before you decide. You will need to relocate the sway bar but it comes with that. UCA's are a 50% chance at 3 inches. If you cant get an alignment after the install get some UCA's. If you run 33s and offroad you will likly need a cab mount chop and UCAs to prevent the wheen from hitting them.

A 2 inch leaf should make the truck level with a 3 inch lift in the front. The dakar leaf pack will put it back to the stock rack.

I've got this lift and I am happy with it. I have a write up about it in the suspension and 2nd gen sections. I put Toytec top plate spacers on the coilovers and got a little over 3"s of lift in the front so when the springs settle it should be 3"s. I will upgrade the rear to a 2" add a leaf before long but that's because it sits 1/4" lower due to the top plate spacers. The shocks are also adjustable with a simple twist of a knob and they provide a very comfortable ride. There doesn't seem to be many people running it but everybody that is gives it good reviews. I gave it a chance because it's half the cost of all the "most popular" kits by the time you buy after market UCA's and this kit comes with new UCA's. I looked on several websites and the one above was the cheapest I found to get it and they are good people. I actually bought mine from a member here (Zeiden) and got a very good deal. Whichever way you go, good luck and post some pics
