black-out headlight

I just finished my black out headlight mod on my truck, it turned out really good thanks to TW member Spencer Hong's great step by step. check out the pics...they're OK but it looks great in person....I recomend doing it!

 

They look great. The paint looks especially flawless, congrats.

it was a lot of work but i was patient and everything turned out really nice!

 

Very nice job. I plan on doing this mod in the future when I have the time. I've heard that patience is the key when doing it. Did you have any problems sealing it back up? I think my main concern is getting moisture inside after I do it.

 

Nice job which route did you go as far as painting them? i had another member do it for me, that was also my main concern is sealing it back up.

 

Well the silicone was really sticky so when I was re-installing them I pushed the 2 pieces together as good as I could then I put it back in the oven and pushed it completely together.. then just for precaution I put a strip of electrical tape around the entire thing.

 

Have you washed the truck or driven through rain yet? I thought mine were sealed till the first good rain storm.
