I'm interested to see what facebook does with it..
That application did have a security concern a few weeks ago, something with other google play apps (I think one was to track exercise) was accessing the "Whatsapp" and sending sms messages to paid message websites, and used "Whatsapp" to authenticate the pin code required. So I bet facebook got a pretty sweet deal with all that in mind. (Price wise) if any of that is true.
