I had always felt like something was a little weird about turning at full lock on the passenger side, but I thought it was just how the truck drove. Whatever it was, it had always been like it was, so I never paid much attention.

Started turning to get out of the pump, suddenly felt like I hit a bump, then my steering went out of whack. I thought, "What the hell? I hope I didn't pop a tire." Rolled on a little to get out of the way for others, got out to see that. I wish I had gotten a better picture. It was about a millimeter from sitting completely on the rim. Had I turned a little, it probably would've rolled onto it (good thing, would've hated to ruin my plastidip lol).

But yeah, the castle nut was no where to be found. For all I know, it exploded. Everything else was fine. But I bet it looked pretty funny to be coming out of the woods next door with a bunch of cement blocks to keep the truck from rolling, plus to give me some height for my jack. Probably looked funny to be rolling with my tire sticking halfway out too.

To those asking who was messing around on the suspension last, it was me and my dad. And I specifically remember putting the cotter pin in place, he told me about 10 times that it was extremely important. I put tape around it just to show him that I made sure to do it lol.

And you know, it was probably something to do with the damn spacer lift I put on. I never off road, I really baby my truck, but it's still the only suspect.

Someone was "riding dirty." I don't think you're suppose to have your camber like that. Plus your fender flares don't go that far out, you live dangerously. Do you get more or less handling in the corners? Glad you're okay and nothing else was damaged.

I am sure now that the OP wishes that all he broke was his mud flap on a curb.

I figure you would have heard it making noise once the nut loosened a little.

Looks like there was other noises you would be hearing as well when turning from looking at the lower LCA arm rub point from the tire.

At least no one got hurt.
