The majority of people in my college with Macs are typical white girls, sipping their Frappucino and wearing Uggs while checking their Facebook/Pintrest/whatever.

Also, owning a Mac as an engineering student is beyond pointless since you have to download Windows onto your Mac so that you can actually run the programs.

With all that being said there is a cool factor to them.

I have been rocking my early 2011 MacBook Pro 13" since 2011... Recently the HDD filled up, so I needed an upgrade. Being in Korea, I didn't want to wait 2-3 weeks for one to be shipped from newegg or tigerdirect. Wen't to the BX, picked up a 1TB Seagate external for $50. Did a quick swap and now I have a 1TB internal drive and a 320 GB external drive to boot :D

    I also have...

    27" Apple Thunderbolt Display
    80 GB iPod Classic
    32 GB iPad WiFi
32 GB iPhone 5 (AT&T model so I still get to use it here in Korea with the Korean LTE providers)

I finally retired my 2008 macbook. Battery was completely done (computer didn't even recognize a battery was installed) and the display back light was super flaky. I finally got sick of it.

Loving my new Lenovo E545, but I do miss the build quality of that old mac.
