Lost a friend I've known since Ft Eustis in '89

The man is Sam Singletary, he lived in Americus, GA... 50 yrs old

He was a husband, father, son, brother, cousin, teacher, and a friend

If you ever met him, you would remember him

Army Veteran - always made work fun even when loading 30mm, Hellfire missiles and FFAR in the desert, day and night

He lost his life this afternoon while riding his motorcycle. He was hit by a truck and was pronounced dead at the hospital.

    I don't know the why

I do know that his wife and kids, his mom and dad, and brother and sister (and their families) could use some prayer in this time of grief and remembrance

Sam believed in Jesus ... I will see him again soon

    Thank you

In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, As we forgive our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen. (Matthew 6:9-13 NKJV)

He was 11B at Ft Benning in the Army

We met in AH64 Apache Armament School at Ft Eustis. We both have been in Aviation. Both FAA A&P mechanics

We were in the FL ARNG in JAX 111th
Sam stayed there and became the 1st Sgt

Thanks for all the prayers and taking the time to post. I really appreciate it

Found out that Sam was waiting at a traffic light to turn green and a drunk driver ran him over

Doesn't hurt any more or less

I pray that whoever the drunk driver is gets help soon

Probably will go to jail for a while

    Senseless
