Took a little road trip with my dad today in the new Taco. He drove his Ram 1500, and I followed him. I was pleasantly surprised at how capable the little 2.7 is on the highway. Really smooth cruiser, and I got almost 25mpg in here. Even hauling a bunch of garden tractor attachments! lol
I never felt short on power, but I did have to race the engine a little bit to keep up with the Hemi. The power was definitely there, just higher up than I expected...but still not bad.
Anybody ever have a situation where the truck really just didn't have the power for the job at hand?

Pic is mine and my dad's trucks after all was said and done.
Edit: OH! And I broke 40k today.

I agree. The 2.7 Liter engine a very capable engine. Much more so than the 4.0 liter guys like to make it out to be. I think they have it confused with penis size or something.
