I just installed the USA-Spec PA 15 & hooked in my XM radio. When I play the XM radio I get a high pitched constant sound. It gets worse when I plug in my IPOD at the same time. I have a good quality monster cable going to my XM. Any thoughts?

That sucks! I am not experienced with the USA-Spec device but I believe it has a set of dip switches. Have you verified that they are set properly? If so, maybe you just got a bad one...

Yeah - the dip switches are pretty basic. 1 is to turn on/off the aux input & the other 3 relate to the radio depending on what toyota you have. The taco setting is to have all 3 on. My XM is a portable - TAO that I plug in/take out. I'm going to try my wife's portable delphi & see if it makes a difference...hopefully, the antenna cable matches.

Thanks to all for the input. I found the problem...my XM radio. The charger was causing the whine - the battery is dead and something's not right with the power. My wife's XM radio worked perfectly with it. At least now I know what the solution is.
