And yes, I did a search. Got information overload.

I have a 2011 DCLB that was pretty much stock, until my wife decided to use it to remove a few trees. Looking on the bright side of life, it's now mod season in the Coronach household. I asked a little bit about what mods to do here: http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/317146-need-body-work-what-upgrade.html#post8244498 Cliff notes version: I'm getting an ARB bumper.

Back when I first got the truck, I asked about what mods were best for a daily driver (http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/207409-what-would-you-do-mod-guidance-question.html), and the direction I decided to go was this, as suggested by another poster:
I still think that's good advice (based upon doing additional searches and look at how that ends up in people's builds), and now that my truck is blowed up, I'm going to finally get started on it. Here are my questions:

    1. Which set of Eibach coils am I looking for? Will this setup (the bilsteins and eibachs) deal adequately with the weight of the ARB bumper?

    2. Ditto on the billies, which ones do I want?

    3. The lift from this is minimal enough that I don't have to drink around with stuff like new UCAs and changing driveline angles, right?

    4. Is there any issue with having this installed before I get the TSB for the rear leafsprings?

Thanks, guys. I know almost nothing about suspensions, and I kinda have to figure out what I'm doing pretty quickly.

I have no experience with Eibachs, but the OME coils work well on Billys. That is the set up I am using and I love the ride. It was rather inexpensive (front Billys 190/pair, coils 160pair- I did not upgrade rear shocks). For you being a DC and having an ARB bumper, prob going to need springs with heavier payload i.e. 660lb springs/coils.
Not sure what that translates to in Eibachs, but you would need 886x coils if running 5100s, which is what many TW members run. I don't know if the dealership would do the TSB for you if you already modified your truck. Not sure on that one. I would just forget the TSB and go with a HD AAL set or something more substantial like Dakars. Hope that helps! Good luck with your upgrade!

886x coils would give him 3'' up front, it sounds like he doesn't want that much. :notsure:

Even with a bumper? Well, if that's the case, with the hefty ARB maybe you could get by with 885x coils or 887 coils (slightly longer but same spring rate). Just wondering if that bumper will weigh down the front too much if not using 886s. Im still a noob to this whole suspension thing too, but learning bits along the way!

Here's a thread that is a bit old but has some numbers regarding the 5100/eibach setup. http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/suspension/53154-5100s-w-eibach-springs.html

Yeah, the 886 coils are made to keep a 3'' lift with up to 200 (?) lbs up front.
I am to, i've read so much info on this site in the (almost) 2 years i've been here it all starts to run together.

Edit: it says that the eibachs won't sag with some extra weight up front, i don't know how much extra weight, but i know a bumper doesn't really affect the height of a 1st gen with eibachs.
