Hey guys. My name is Hiatt. I just recently moved from the Los Angeles area to Prescott but soon to be Flagstaff. I was thinking maybe we could do an offroad trip to Crown King via Senator Highway or any other way that is prerunner (w/ elocker) friendly. I have the date set for March 22.

    What:
Crown King back road 4x4 run
Some overnight campers, some going on through to ??

    When:
    Saturday March 22 @08:00

    Where:
Meet at N/E corner of I-17 and Carefree Hwy (TBD either bagel shop, gas station, or McD's)

IMO every obstacle that requires 4x4 + lift + lockers has a bypass. I did this recently and I know some other guys did it more recently than I have.

I would just recommend off road tires and a slight lift if anything.

Oh and I'm not sure if I can make it but I'm gonna keep my eye on it. sub.d

Well shoot. If that's the case then we should do the back way.

Trying to think how we should do this, we could meet at the back way and head towards Prescott? We could also start from the top (Prescott) and head south and then depending on time, make our way back up again? I have no idea how long the trail is but it would be cool to take the trail each way. this is the map I have..

Well that back way starts as you enter lake pleasant recreational area. No where near Prescott. Its 23 miles long takes about 3 to 4 hours depending on how many vehicles and stops breaks we take.

Oh I'm sorry. Meant to say start at the end of the green trail and end where it says "start". The "start" seems close to Prescott or am I way off?

This is how I usually do it.
    I will have one.
The entire back way is not on the map but ok I got what you are saying. And sounds good to me.
    Perfect.
