    Hi guys,

I have some questions about body parts interchangeability. First gen seems to be pretty close in shape than it's predecessor 95-.

Do front fender can be swapped alone?
Do hood can be swapped alone?
    Do doors could be swapped?
Do front grill could be swapped?

    Thanks all!

Yeah that sucks. My goal was to fit the front clip of a 89-95 on a 96-97 tacoma.

Let's forget about the doors, it's sure it's a non sense but from there, proabably the fenders won't fit without the right doors, then the hood without the right fenders... And then you are screwed...

Thanks for the reply man, will avoid me a huge deception on the job!

You don't wanna know what I would be ready to do to have the 89-91 grey front grill with the chrome emblem! ;)

Just kidding but I think they are by far the best looking grill ever. I wonder how hard could it be to adapt the 89-91 grill to the 95-97 front.

I think it would leave a gap under the grill because the bumper seems to be like 1" lower on a Tacoma.

Do I'm wrong if I say that the first Tacoma, the real 1995.5 have a different front grill than the 96-97. If my memory serves me well it's very more like a grey 1995 pick up truck grill??

95-97s front ends are based off ht e86-94 front ends. Why i like them so much as i owned an 86 for a couple years.

My brother still has an 87 and they are nothing alike lookin at them closely.

Im sure with lots of time and money you could do it though.

I'm in planning for a new project involving a 4 doors cab. I would like the 89-95 body style but unfortunatly all 4 doors cabs of these years are imports and are very rare arounf here. And for those around, that could be bought with honest earned money, they are far than new and need quite a lot of body work. A 4 door Taco body in the other hand are readily available, offer more confort and for a daily driver allow to possibility keep the airbags... Even if I still wondering how it may happen I came to the day I could ever want airbags...

I guess I'll stick to the 95-97 front clip swap!

    thanks man
