I hate starting threads, but I felt like I had to. Six deer later, 3 front ends and a mangled brush guard I come to you in need. Instead of getting a new stock bumper I want to upgrade. Found TAG bumpers and they're cheapest but I understand they changed their name and that they used to suck. I haven't really been able to find anything else on them since they changed their name. I would just be safe and order one I know is good but money is a huge factor. If anybody can help me I'd much appreciate it.

Even though their base price is $500,you add the necessities like fog light cut outs, shackles, hoops,etc.. You are better off going with known companies like All pro, demello, relentless, ARB for not much more. Personally, I would do this versus saving $200 by going with a co. with questionable build quality and mixed reviews. Be patient and keep checking the classifieds here and buy a used one.

Thanks guys. I really appreciate it. I'll probably go with allpro. I've talked to them a little and they seem to have a very good product. Also I wanted to put it on while I'm replacing everything else since she's looking pretty bad.

Just an opinion... If your primary use is to prevent deer damage, I'd look at something like ARB or Buckstop. To me, it looks like the other off road bumpers have too little steel in front of the wheels - i.e. short in height. Last thing I'd want to do is hit a deer and have it get sucked in the wheel well bending things up.

I wouldn't go cheap on something like this honestly. ARB is pricey but you get what you pay for those bumpers are beefy as hell and they have a massive r&d budget

He would also need quite a suspension upgrade to compensate for that weight though.

wen i talked to him over a month ago he was not willing to come down much on the price. he was thinking that since i was local what i would be saving on the shipping plus the new powdercoat justified the price.

this has been for sale for at least two months.

Talked to the guy and he was asking 900 still. Considered going down a little but I'd have to ship it and didn't seem worth it. I think relentless sends you build able kits. Has anybody tried this?

Holy cow ! Not a fan of the bumpers on the peacemakerbumpers.com but the iron cross bumper sold through them would make the deers turn around and run way before impact:

Im a big fan of all pro! they have 'free' shipping sales a lot. (free if shipped to a commercial address) ends up costing not too much to ship a big heavy bumper. And the bumpers look awesome and are really beefy….. and don't look like that iron cross pos
